Respirator Fit Testing
Your single sourced for occupational medical services.
Current OSHA standards state, "Persons should not be assigned to tasks requiring the use of respirators unless it has been determined that they are physically able to perform the work and use the equipment." (CFR 1910.134). Bayport Occupational Medical Center provides quantitative (using a Portacount machine) respirator fit testing to help employers comply with federal regulations and ensure employee safety. Employees are tested on the same type of mask they will use at work. A “fit test card”, is issued at the time of testing. The card documents the date of testing, type of respirator, both model and series number. Significant time is saved by fit testing employees while they are in clinic for pre-employment & annual medical testing |
