Functional Job Descriptions & Pre-Work Screening
Ergonomic testing provides employers with job specific functional testing. This data is compared to the essential job functions as described in the company's functional job descriptions.  This testing data is used to determine whether an employee is physically capable of performing the essential functions of a specific job.  The functional job description is also used as a measurement tool to assist the physicians in returning employees to work following an illness or injury.
